I liked these search engines. Mugurdy gives you a picture of every website, so you can briefly see what you are going to go to. Quintura is nice as well because it gives you other options; you can type in what you think you want to search for, and it gives you other relevant topics that you can click on. Spezify is kind of cool, but it's also a little crazy. It is a little unorganized (at least as far as I can tell). But it gives you pictures of every site too. So it gives you the picture so you can see where you are going, but it's a little bit crazy.

search engines OTHER than Google
I liked these search engines. Mugurdy gives you a picture of every website, so you can briefly see what you are going to go to. ReplyDeleteWe wish to improve the user experience of the visual search engine Mugurdy (http:://www.mugurdy.com). In particular the way in which, after the search results are displayed, the mouse rolling over an image produces a pop-up which is large enough to read. Clicking on the pop-up brings the user to the relevant website in a new window.
Is there a better way to do this? Is the pop-up needed at all or does it 'get in the way'? These are the questions we'd like your feedback on (and indeed any other observations you may have on Mugurdy). Thank you.
